- I would build a box out of wood, line it in plastic, put soil in, and put a heat lamp over. check for proper heat for your egg type and proper humidity
- i agree with shane but also put a thermostat in there so if it gets to the desired heat it ckicks off, then clickes back on when the heat starts to go. it'll keep it at a consistant temp which the eggs need
- Do not use a heat lamp. This is a good way to cook your eggs. Eggs don't like light anyways. And besides, who wants an annoying light on 24/7 anyways? And you'd need a thermostat to control the temp of the light. Might as well just buy a Hovabator for 40 bucks. These are a very reliable incubator for the price. I bought a few from http://lllreptile.com Now if you still want to make one, get a big cooler. Fill it a third of the way with water and use an underwater heater from the fish department at the pet store. Set it to the temperature you want. It will heat the water and it will also raise the air temp and keep it at 100% humidity, which is what you want for reptile eggs. Put a small rack, stand, or some bricks in there for you to set your containers of eggs on.
- You can do what this guy did..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ok-8VQpEOFo Though i dont know the price of the heat tape and ect for all the other materials needed. Or you can buy a proffessional one at LLLreptile.com. they got some pretty descent priced ones there. Good Luck!
