Found a duck egg,its in a homemade incubator, signs of life?

ok i have a duck egg it was found earlier today in the grass in my yard i keep it in my room in a homemade incubator at about 99degrees im confused as to when i should know if its alive or dead i took a light to it and candled it this is the first day keep in mind there is like a large dark blob at the bottom is this the air sac??? or the embryo?? and how far in will i kno if its living i kno i periodically turn it once every 12 hours and i periodically spray it with warm water anybody please help me i want to save itt!!!

1. you will start to see veins developing at about 4-5 days but you shouldn't be spraying the egg at all it should be turned at least 3 times daily just put a small bowl of water in the incubator also beware certain wild ducks are illegal to have even as a hatchling. p.s. also try and keep the small end of the egg lower so the air pocket goes to the large end. it should hatch in about 28-32 days
