- I've never had a hygrometer before. Usually what we do is take a tank and keep water at a constant level (meaning add to it as it evaporates from the heat), and put something breathable over that, such as a rack - or keep moist towels in there. Put the eggs on it, marking each side of the eggs (X on one side O on the other) so you know if you've turned them or not. It doesn't hurt to take a spritz bottle to spray them once in a while. And then a light to keep it warm in there. Has never failed. But here is a site you can go to that has all the professional explanations..... Good luck! Have fun!
- I use a still air incubator, the hygrometer for a still air is usually 60 to 62 percent.Increased to 70 during the hatch.
