HOT GlRL ON MYSPACE... ?????

ok i recently moved to a new city for college... i dont know a lot of ppl but do have a few friends here... i went on my friends myspace and saw this really hot chick that he doesnt even know... i really want to know her... ok tell me what you want... but the fact is that im bored to death and i want to meet girls... the girls my friends know are way to rauchy and getto... anyways... so i made a myspace just for this purpose... but the problem is that i dont have many friends on my profile around 10 as of now... and i am 17 (18 within days) and she is 22....( i am open minded lol) so my questions are should i get more friends before i message/friend request her? should i wait til i turn 18 to message/friend request her? what should i say when i message/friend request her? (im kinda a new to myspace... dont know what to say when making friends with strangers...) by the way she isnt all that far from where i live...
