Chicken casserole?
I am makeing a green bean casserole and would like to add chicken to it, should i pre cook the chicken first?

- Unless you are using a can of chicken breast which is pre-cooked then you should pre-cook your chicken. You could boil it first or bake it, if you want it more crispy. I do this kind of thing alot. It turns out rather well.
- yeah,you should pre-cook it.it'll probably taste weird with raw chicken put in it before cooking the casserole.
- you should precook the chicken only if you want the precooked flavors to come through (ie browning, or boiling in seasonings), otherwise the internal temp of the casserole should be sufficient to make sure the chicken is cooked since most casserole dishes will exceed 180 degrees
- No need to precook the chicken if you are using sliced chicken breast.
