Is soft water safe for baby chicks?

We have well water that has been tested very safe, but hard. We have a soft water conditioner that treats the water. Is this water safe for baby chicks? Please let me know how you know the answer, too... I just want to be sure... Thanks! The well water is treated, making it soft water. That is my real question. I know the well water by itself is fine, but do I need to add a way to get the water, without it having been treated with the soft water sodium?

1. Both are fine, so long as it's clean and fresh, and make sure they can't fall in!
2. Soft water and well water r fine 4 baby chicks. i have some and i give them well water and they r fine. i also have olders chickens and i have been giving them well water 4 the past 3 yrs and have not had any problems.
