where do buffalo wings come from? I heard they come from chickens, but why are they smaller then chicken wing?

- Buffalo wings ARE chicken wings. They are chicken wings with a hot pepper sauce and either blue cheese or ranch dressing They are called "buffalo wings" because they originated out of Buffalo, NY.

- Buffalo are chickenwings. Chickenwings can come in a variety of sizes depending on where the manufacturer gets his/her chickens. Buffalo wings are just a name for chickenwings. THey are called this because they are seasoned with *Buffalo Sauce*

- They aren't smaller than chicken wings...not the ones I've had. They are made from chickens, but originated in BUFFALO, New York :)
- Of course, you DO know that the wings are cut into and separated at the joints... don't you? However, sometimes you can find them with just the outer tips cut off.
- Buffalo wings are chicken wings. The "Buffalo" refers to the style of vinegar-based hot sauce the wings are coated in before serving. Depending on where you order them from, they are either big or small - obviously a bar and Grill with Buffalo wings on special is going to have smaller, cheaper ones than a restaurants that charges three to four times as much, as a regular entree/appetizer item.
