Made a chicken casserole but need more flavor?
Chunk chicken, mushroom soup, brocoli, carrots, bell pepper, and pasta. What can I add to give more flavor to this dish? It's too bland!

- Salt or maybe sub the soup for alfredo

- add some butter or squeeze a lemon over it.
- I'd go with garlic or rosemary
- Add chicken broth,salt,pepper,celery,soy sauce...
- Fresh mushrooms (sauteed slightly) and onions & garlic. Sun dried tomatoes, charred bell peppers. Salt and pepper, of course, plus (choose two:) oregano, basil, dried mustard, curry powder, chile powder, dill, cumin etc
- Try adding cream of chicken and shredded cheese
- You could try adding a tsp of dried mixed herbs,i find this works quite well, jillsy
- You should add a bullion cube, a little bit of crushed red pepper, some tarragon, and salt it to taste. Mmmmm

- Pepper lots of pepper. Maybe some paprika as well or onion powder
- Need more flavor? MSG is the answer
- Well first of all the chicken is where your flavor starts....So fry it lightly intil about half way cooked in oil oil and some ground garlic and some thyme, sage, and oregono....salt and pepper if you like....Then pour in some Cream of Chicken and a half a can of cream let it simmer for about ten mins...While its doing this you can get you paste and stuff ready.....add your veggies to the frying pan and let them simmer for about another five mins Then mix all together in pasta...You can now add some cream of mushroom to if you would like.....Bake in the oven for like another 20 mins to let the chicken get done....And wow you have so much flavor.....
- canned green chili's
- When making chicken casserole, always sautee chopped onions with "celery." It's key. Along with garlic and salt and pepper. If you're trying to avoid the salt, a little bit of red pepper flakes bring out more flavor.
- Try using onions leek and garlic. Also try a little amount of herbs that accompany chicken. You could also try a little curry powder or chilli for an extra kick.
- Too many conflicting ingredients already. Lose the carrots and bell peppers. Dilute your mushroom soup with some white wine (or milk: in this case, add 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese). Also add some fresh mushrooms and small whole onions. Serve your broccoli separetely, steamed.
- A few shakes of hot sauce stirred in will do the trick.
