what can i use instead of chicken bouillon cubes?

I am making chickena nd rica and wanted to boil the chicken with the cube but they are expired what else could i put in to season the chicken.....would chicken broth added work the same.

1. how about broth or stock in place of the water in your recipe
2. Chicken broth is best. Bouillon cubes are too strong. With broth you can adjust the salt etc. yourself. Low sodium broth is best.
3. I only use chicken broth and never the cubes. I like Swanson's broths.
4. try just adding a pinch of salt...and cook it longer...it should taste as great
