what are your favorite recipes for baked chicken in the oven?? i am in a cooking rut and need some ideas! or any other yummy and quick recipes as well! i am newly married and trying to get into the habit of cooking dinners every night!! thanks :)

- marinate in italian dressing and then roll in potato chips ...lays will do fine.and bake at 350...til ready i poke fork and make sure theres nothing bloody coming out..normally about 45 minutes..
- Boneless skinless breasts.... sprinkle each with some Good Seasons Italian dressing mix, then some Parmesan cheese. Bake at 400F for 20-22 minutes. Different, moist, tender and delicious.

Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until chicken is no longer pink in the center and juices run clear.

- I love to cook with fruit and chicken - it is such a great combination of flavors. Here is one way that I do mine: In a bowl, combine 1 cup sliced apples with a tablespoon of honey, teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, 3 tablespoons of sugar - you can use either white or brown sugar - and 1/2 cup apple juice or cider - whichever you prefer and mix to combine; let sit while you brown your chicken pieces in some butter in a heavy pan; pour apple mixture over your chicken, bring to a boil, cover and then simmer until chicken is tender. You can substitute peaches - canned or fresh - for the apples or use canned pie apples if you do not have fresh. **************************************... Baked Chicken #1 Marinate your Chicken pieces in Italian dressing for about 1 hour then roll in Italian style bread crumbs that have Parmesan and Romano cheeses mixed in - bake at 375 degrees F for 45 minutes to 1 hour depending upon how thick/big they are. Serve with roasted, baked or smashed potatoes, a veggie or salad. Baked Chicken #2 1 box of stuffing mix like Stove Top 4-6 Chicken Pieces 1 can condensed Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Chicken soup - I like Campbell's but any brand will work 1/2 soup can of milk 1/4 cup bread crumbs - I like Italian style 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Baked Chicken #3 4-6 Boneless chicken pieces 1 can cherry pie filling Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and spray a baking pan with Pam or other non-stick spray. Arrange chicken on pan and spoon on 1/2 cherry pie filling. Bake for 30 minutes then spoon or brush on remaining pie filling and cook for another 30 minutes or until the meat is done. Serve with white rice, rice pilaf, roasted or mashed potatoes, a steamed veggie and a salad. **************************************... Stove Top BBQ'd Chicken Melt a little butter in a big heavy frying pan, add some slice onion and cook until tender. Put you chicken in the frying pan and brown on both sides. Cover with your favorite BBQ sauce, cover the pan and simmer until the chicken pieces are tender. Serve with rice, potato salad or mashed potatoes and a veggie. WA
- Cut up Russet potatoes,carrots,onions and toss them with vegetable oil,minces garlic, and tons of pepper. Lay them flat in a baking dish. Do the same with chicken breasts. and lay them on top of the vegetables. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. You can add any other herbs if you like any in particular. It's reaaally good!

Cheese Chicken Bake INGREDIENTS 1 chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 3 tablespoons butter or margarine 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted 1 (8 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained 4 cloves garlic chopped 1 (2 ounce) jar chopped pimientos, drained 2 teaspoon dried basil 1 (8 ounce) package noodles, cooked 3 cups diced cooked chicken 2 cups ricotta or cottage cheese 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup buttered bread crumbs DIRECTIONS In a skillet, saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender. Remove from the heat. Stir in the soup, mushrooms, pimientos and basil; set aside. In a large bowl, combine noodles, garlic, chicken and cheeses; add mushroom sauce and mix well. Transfer to a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes or until bubbly. Sprinkle with crumbs. Bake 15 minutes longer. Baked Garlic Chicken INGREDIENTS 1 (3 pound) whole chicken 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened 1 lemon 3 tablespoons minced garlic 8 cloves garlic 1/4 cup chopped fresh rosemary 5 sprigs fresh rosemary salt to taste ground black pepper to taste 1 teaspoon paprika DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Rinse the chicken and pat dry. Zest the lemon. Slice remaining lemon into quarters and place to the side. With hand mixer combine butter, lemon zest, minced garlic and 1/4 cup chopped rosemary. Take your hand and slide it between the skin and the meat on the breast, as well as loosening the 'pockets' between the leg and wing joints. Scoop some of the rosemary butter mixture onto your fingers and begin to stuff into the 'pockets' on the breast, leg, wings, etc. (Save approximately 1/4 of the rosemary butter mixture and rub on the inside of the chicken.) Season the cavity of the chicken with the salt, pepper and paprika. Add the quartered lemon, rosemary sprigs and sliced garlic to the chicken cavity. Bind the legs with culinary twine and tuck the wings into the leg joints to secure. Place the chicken breast up onto the roasting rack and into the oven. Roast for approximately 50 minutes, or until the juices run clear. Remove the 'stuffing', carve and serve. Chicken and Brie INGREDIENTS 1 cup white wine 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves salt and black pepper to taste 2 teaspoon dried oregano, or to taste 8 ounces Brie cheese DIRECTIONS Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Pour the beer or wine into a glass baking dish large enough to lay out the chicken. Season the chicken with salt, pepper and oregano on both sides, and place in the dish. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until juices run clear. While chicken is baking, slice Brie with the rind into 1/4 inch thick slices. When chicken is done, place slices of Brie over the top. Return to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes, until cheese is melted. Voila, chicken with Brie sauce is complete! Baked Chicken Reuben INGREDIENTS 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 (16 ounce) can sauerkraut, drained and pressed 4 slices Swiss cheese 1 1/4 cups thousand island salad dressing 2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Place chicken in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place sauerkraut over chicken and top with cheese slices. Pour dressing over all and cover dish with aluminum foil. Bake in preheated oven for 90 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through (fork can be easily inserted and juices run clear). Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
