Looking for a Cheesy Hashbrown Casserole?

I have a friend who use to make this in a slow cooker but we have lost touch. The ingredients used were: Frozen Hashbrowns Velveeta Cheese Sour Cream Cream of celery and/or chicken Onion Powder Does anyone know a Recipe similar to that?

  1. sorry i don't know a recipe similar to the one that u have listed above but y not try this one CHEESY HASH BROWN CASSEROLE 1/2 stick butter 2 lbs. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed 1/4 c. mayonnaise 1 med. onion, chopped 10 oz. cheddar cheese, grated 1 c. sour cream 1 can cream of mushroom soup Melt butter and saute onion. Add hash browns, cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and soup. Bake in 8 x 13 inch casserole dish for 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. Serves 8 to 10. Freezes well.

I use one that is almost the same it uses 1 package frozen hash browns, 1lb shredded cheddar cheese, 1c. sour cream and 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 tablespoon onion powder or 1/2 c fresh minced onion, dash garlic and dash pepper. stir and bake in oven for 1 hour at 375 or in crock pot on low for 4 hours or until ready to serve. if it is to thick add a splash of milk to thin
  3. I do have a good Hash-brown Casserole recipe, but I doubt you'd want it (if you do, e-mail me and i will send ya) Mine doesn't include sour cream. I just wanted to say, it's better if you use chopped onion instead of onion powder, it gives it much more taste, trust me !! oh yea, I also use cheddar cheese, not velveeta cheese, that's why I'm saying you probably wouldn't want my recipe... ---

Not a slow cooker but give this a try 1 (2 pound) package frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/2 cup chopped onion or use onion powder 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese ot sub with Velveeta DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray one 9x13 inch pan with non-stick cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, butter, salt, pepper, onions, soup and cheese. Gently mix and pour into prepared pan or dish. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes.
