How do I make baked chicken wings?
I would like a recipe for baked chicken wings. I don't want to use any sauce on them. I just want to cook the chicken with only seasonings. The only recipes I can find are for chicken wings with sauce on them. I tried baking chicken wings with seasonings before, but I they were soft, the spices drizzled off the chicken into the pan, and the chicken looked too white. I want the chicken to be kind of crispy and would like to know what kind of seasonings I should use. Also please let me know if I should cook the chicken covered or uncovered. (I usually cover it) Please help me. Thank you. :)

- Keep it simple...seasoning salt, fresh black pepper and garlic powder. put them in the oven at 350 and cook covered for about 20 minutes. remove the foil and cook for another 30-40 minutes or until nicely browned. Oh, and spray your pan or bottom layer of foil...don't want the wings sticking!
- Fried are the best but here's some tips. 1) Higher temps (375-425) is better than 325. 2) Don't cover them you will not have them crispy. 3) Keep them raised on a rack when you are roasting that way the fat will run off and they won't be all greasy.
- Toss the chicken wings in a 9 x 13 pan. Toss with a little oil and salt and pepper and what ever other seasoning you want. Put in a hot over 400 degrees for about 30 minutes. Turn the wings once. Cook uncovered. Sprinkled with additional seasoning when done cooking.
- It will tell you how long to cook them on the frozen chicken wing packages in the stores. Cook it uncovered to make it crispy.
- Breaded Chicken Wings -- If you dont want it breaded then just omit it and add the rest of the spices. These turn out crispy!! INGREDIENTS 2/3 cup dry bread crumbs 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon dried basil 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1 egg 1 tablespoon water 10 chicken wings DIRECTIONS In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the bread crumbs, onion powder, basil, garlic salt and paprika. In a small bowl, whisk egg and water. Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tips. Dip wings in egg, then place in bag and shake to coat. Place in a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake at 425 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until juices run clear, turning once.
- Now why would you want to ruin some perfectly good chicken wings by baking them. Fried is best. Good luck.
- Roll the wings in Habenero and sprinkle with Lawry's salt. Then bake.
- Regardless of what I put on my wings, the first thing I do is put tinfoil on the pan and then grease it with some butter. Then, I melt some more butter and brush it on the wings before putting them in the oven. I bake them at 450 for about an hour. If you want to put seasonings on them, I'd recommend putting the spices on about 30 minutes into the baking. At that point, the butter has already started to turn the skins of the wings brown, and the butter is no longer runny, so the spices should stick to the wings. As for what spices to use, I guess it all depends on what flavor you're looking for. Hot and spicy? Moroccan? Asian? For spicy wings, I'd use a combination of red cayenne pepper, black pepper and cumin. For Moroccan wings, I'd use a combination of ground coriander, garlic, cumin, paprika and cinnamon. For Asian wings, use a combination of soy sauce, red wine vinegar, EVOO, garlic, ground ginger and crushed red pepper flakes. You may have to baste the wings a few times during cooking using the liquid spice mix.
- Easy Baked Chicken Wings 2/3 cup butter 1/4 cup Dijon-style prepared mustard 1 1/4 cups dried bread crumbs, seasoned 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese 20 chicken wings, tips discarded Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). Melt butter or margarine and stir in mustard. Place bread crumbs in a flat dish. Roll each chicken piece in the butter mixture, then coat with bread crumbs. Place chicken pieces in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Turn and bake 15 minutes longer, or until crispy.
- i just use basic flour with some cajun seasoning (add a lot if you like them spicy or any other spices you like such as pepper, garlic, or onion powder etc) then i dip them in egg, toss them in flour mixture, re-dip into egg and flour again and put in pan. they are like fried wings without the grease and they come out great and crispy. just watch them for about 45 min to an hour to make sure they are brown and cooked through. temp should be 375 degrees in oven on middle rack. do not cover
