How long will my son be contageous w the chicken pox?

My son has had chicken pox for over 7 days. Most of them have scabbed, but not all. Can i manage to take him to a movie w out him contaminating others?

1. nope, sorry mom, until all the sores are scabbed, he can infect others. It would be irresponsible to take him to a crowded theater. Why not get some video rentals?
