Chook Me!

"We're just sacks of flesh, walking incubators for bacteria"?

Do you agree or disagree? - My university lecturer made this claim. It's a bit reductionist, innit. I am aware but to claim that's all there is to life is a bit sad.

  1. I agree. We are good incubators actually with the right temperature (warm/hot), plus some acidic areas (ie stomach), etc. Bacteria can leave within us and survive. Also, Escherichia coli is a bacterium that lives in the colon, from highschool biology. You shouldn't let these things bother you. They're just words said by science geeks/people. You define what you are.
  2. Take out "just" and I agree with the statement. Leave it in and I agree with your assessment.
  3. This is a statement of fact, we could not exist without bacteria in our digestive tract and immune system.
