what is the best way to transport baby chicks via car?

If I'm driving to pick up baby chicks, what will I need? It is a 2 hour drive. What container should I keep them in? What type of food and water containers should I use for the trip?

1. Car seats man, just like you were transporting baby Dudes.
2. most wont need food or water on such a short trip. How many are you hauling? If its only a few then some small cardboard boxes should work. if its like 1000 then your guess is as good as mine. Dont forget chicks are very resilient. So dont be afraid to pack them in the box.
3. out them in a box keep the car really warm and i would think they would be fine without some food and water for two hours and if you dont think so you can pull over in the middle of the trip (get some food for yourself) and give the chicks some food and water. I raised 6 chicks, class project, and it was so fun. although i didnt eat KFC for a couple of years
4. They won't need food and water for just a 2 hour drive. They will be fine in a cardboard box lined with newspaper.
5. a blanket, eye droper, box, and a heater
6. you can just use a cardboard box, or line a large rubbermaid with a few layers of newpaper or paper towels so it wont be slippery(you may need to tape the newspaprer or papertowels down so it doesnt slide) Make sure to poke holes for veltilation

8. a card boar box small or med. and put a towel over 3/4 and they will go to sleep!!....DONT USE A PLATIC BOX W/ A LID THAT WILL CLASP SHUT! (u dont want 2 suphocate)
