What are some good books for a 13 year old?

We have to read a lot in english class and I will tell you my likes and dislikes: Likes: -Suspense -Humor -TONS TONS TONS of ''cliffhangers'' Dislikes -Sports books - they bore me -gorey nightmarish books - well... -chick flickish boring books

1. How about the Harry Potter series......if you haven't read the books, they are much more detailed than the movies. You can also try the Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony SNicket. I liked the book Maximum Ride by James Patterson. Oh, another set of books you may like is the Bunnicula series by James Howe (you may be a little too old for this one). Anyway, keep reading!
2. hmmm.... harlan coben is good(author), fahrenheit 451 is amazing, ive read a lot i could give you a whole list but stick with these lol
3. Check out Darren Shan. He was my favorite author when I was your age. Also check out scott westerfield'd Midnight series. Also the Artemis Fowl series is really good and so is Stormbreaker and the Alex Rider series. Amazon.com is a great resource to see if you would be interested in the book or not even if you dont buy it there.
4. Cirque Du Freak. Great vampire series. TONS AND TONS of Cliffhangers. So much I got pissed of because Darren Shane kept ending it like that. Its not gorey from what I can remember. It just depends on your imagination.
