- a nice bulb, you should read up stuff online to check it out and see what you can get.
- ok i don't know where you can get fertile eggs but if you go to your local hardware store ask for the strongest light bulb that they sell that should help you hatch the eggs also line a glass bowl with plenty of cotton wool to keep the eggs in oh and be careful :)
- really, it isnt that easy, you must buy an incubator, you can get a small one that hatches 1 or 2 eggs or one that is made of styrofome and hatches 20 or more and up. If you use a bulb youll cook youre egg, cant keep it at the right temp or humidity level, go to the mcmurray hatchery website and check it out
- Check out my favorite site. mcmurrayhatchery.com They have everything but feed. Fertile eggs, coops and instruction books.
- yo shoulda got the incubators first. but id use a bowl with a towel in the bottom. and a lamp over them. then turn a couple a times. and spritz em wit water. then can candle them ta c if dey alive.
- Many hatcheries will mail you fertile eggs. Here are two. http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com http://www.meyerhatchery.com Mcmurray has incubators and reference books, too. I recommend the book "Storey's Guide To Raising Poultry" as the best all around reference for someone who is raising chickens. Among other things it has plans to make an incubator from a styrofoam cooler and some electrical parts that you can scrounge from a couple lamps. I made one and successfully hatched 40 guinea eggs last spring. Two 40 watt bulbs kept everything at the right temperature. You should get the book first to make sure you have everything you need to hatch the eggs.
