  1. You shouldnt have to. Just add all ingredients and bake according to recipe directions.
  2. Once you quickly poach your cubed chicken in water or broth, you can add it to this recipe which only takes 35-40 minutes to prepare. Quick, Easy -N- Fast Cashew Chicken Casserole Recipe 2 C. uncooked elbow macaroni 3 C. cubed cooked chicken 1/2 C. cubed process American cheese 1 small onion-chopped 1/2 C. chopped celery 1/2 C. chopped green pepper 1 can (8 oz.) sliced water chestnuts, drained 1 can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted) 1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted) 1 1/3 C. milk 1 can chicken broth 1/4 C. butter or margarine, melted 2/3 C. crushed saltines (about 20 crackers) 3/4 C. cashews In a greased 9 x 13 baking dish, layer the first 7 ingredients in the order listed (water chestnuts will be the top layer). 3. Yes. If you are using chicken breasts, just put some water in a skillet and bring it to a boil. Add the chicken pieces, turn the heat down to a simmer, cover and simmer for 20 minutes - turning after 10 minutes. Then cube the chicken and add it to the casserole. If it's the kind of casserole recipe I think it is - it tells you to layer things and bake for 30-40 minutes in the oven. I would definitely use the cooked chicken but that's so easy to do, as I described. I have a chicken casserole recipe that calls for the cubed cooked chicken. In that recipe you put a layer of steamed broccoli down in your casserole dish, add the cubed cooked chicken, then mix together a can of the cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 tsp curry and 1 T of prepared mustard - mix well and pour over the chicken. Then top with shredded cheese and top that with bread crumbs dotted with butter. Bake 350º 35-40 minutes. Your stuffing one will be good too. Hope that helps.
