How long can I store cooked chicken wings and what's the best way to do it?
I have a party on Tuesday to cook for, however I won't be able to cook the night before. Do you think I can cook on Sunday and the chicken still be "fresh" Tuesday evening? I was planning to cook hot wings and BBQ wings.

- They wouldnt taste right if they have been refrigerated and then reheated. They would be safe to eat but they wouldn't taste right. You can cook them in the oven, it takes about an hour but the good news is that you can just throw them on a cookie sheet (with some no-stick spray) pop em in the oven and forget about em for an hour. Then it only takes a minute or so to throw them into a big bowl and toss em in wing sauce. If you dont have time to cook them the day of then get some delivered from a pizza place or pick some up from your local wing joint.
- should be ok but if you're really concerned then simply cook them and tray freeze. Then re-heat on Tues.
- they won't be as good, they will be dried out. your best bet is to cook sunday, store them in an airtight container. right before you leave (while you are getting ready) recoat them in your sauce and reheat. this will at least put more moisture back in it and reflavor it.
- They would taste different if not eaten after they were "freshly made". Iwould suggest you make everything, then set aside and cook like, right before the party. And if you are hosting this party, cook during, there's nothing wrong with that.
- Make them and freeze them the mornig of tues. take them out and let them thaw. put them in the oven that night and WALAH!!!! just liek you made them tues.
