What do I feed my sick puppy?
We just recently found out that my puppy doesn't have Parvo. He has similar disease called Corona virus. It's not as deadly so that's such a relief. The vet is treating it according, but he didn't tell me what types of food would be good for a puppy with this disease. I know not to give him poultry. But what else can I give him to keep him for get too skinny and malnourished.

- ground beef- cooked with white rice.
- Whenever my dog was sick, the vet told me to feed it rice mixed with just plain yogurt. It was something easy on her stomach so she wouldn't get sick.
- http://www.workingdogs.com/vccorona.htm White rice, broth, bland diet... good luck,
- Ohh i used to have dog like that, so try to give carrots, green pea and a bread. Mix them up and it'll helps. And give alot of water no other drinks or junk will make it bad. Hopefully works for you.
- Weetabix or porridge but be warned it may make him pooh a little. Have never been unfortunate enough to have a dog with a serious disease but I would also try giving him toast wth jam (if he likes it). There are many things you can give a puppy to fatten it up mine is very skinny for a Whippet & she loves pasta, it seems to be working she has put around 8lbs on in 6 weeks & is much healthier although you can still see every rib. I also give her left over food after I've eaten my dinner, but not onions they are BAD for their tummies & they get really bad wind.Hope I helped a little. Good luck.
- rice! start with plain rice and gradually add in some cooked ground beef until he's feeling better!
- One time my maltese was attacked by another dog and wouldn't eat nor could use the restroom because of the difficulty of pushing. My mom and I made some home made chicken soup with vegetables added to it such as potatoes, cucumbers, carrots. Once the soup was cooked the chicken legs and breast were very tender juicy plus they had healthy vegetable minerals in it from boiling of the vegetables. he loved it and it was only thing he would eat...a dog can never say no to the chicken especially when its soft and juicy. we pealed the chicken in bits and he ate it all never give a dog chicken with bone or they will eat the bones and it can work as a blade in his intestines. We even put a pill inside the chicken and he ate the pill which was a pain killer. It was healthy and afterward the family ate the soup and the left over chicken was given to my dog for the remainder of the week. He was up and walking well limping within 3 days p.s I don't think you should give him meat because his stomach is weak and meat is harder to dissolve in stomach it's like having stomach problems and eating meat. Also rice is just plain carbs with no minerals and wont fill his stomach because it only supplements your hunger for 2 hours or so.
