Chook Me!

Tried to kill a weasel/mongoose but it isn't dying?

OK this afternoon I recently had a mongoose/weasel coming close to my poultry and it was p****ing me off. I'm terrified of mammals and stuff like that (rabies) and so I waited for it to come close, so I hit it with a heavy 6 inch brickl, it didn't really work and now the mongoose/weasel wailing but still moving a little, I'm too scared to shoot it though because the noise it's making and the wound is making me scared what should I do? I heard they're also pests...mindlessly spreading disease, and killing my poultry

  1. First of all, you should have known that slamming it in the head with a brick was just stupid and cruel (go ahead mock me, I'll chuck one at you). Now the poor thing is in pain and you are too having to listen to it. So what if they are considered pests? They're just getting something to eat and you are like the nearest drive threw. I understand that you want to protect your poultry, but swallow your fear and shoot it (I don't want it to die but there doesn't seem to be help for it). And next time, chase it away or something, don't hurt it!!! >.<
  2. You're an evil, heartless person. How can you possibly bring yourself to kill a living creature like that! Do you seriously think you have the right to take life away? Arsehole. Sol: I'm a vegetarian. So no, there won't be any steaks for me.
  3. TROLL Alert. He doesn't raise poultry. You can't raise poultry without dealing with death and culling the males from the bunch. What's the difference in a weasel and a mongoose? About 1-1/2 versus 8 to 10 pounds. Also no mongoose in the Americas. As to disease ridden. Are you as a poultry raiser familiar with the West Nile Virus and Avian Flu? Both are far more dangerous and contageous than rabies. Just a sadistic troll. I had a pet mongoose in Nam. Sure kept the cobras and kraits from biting us in the showers.
  4. b*itch, im sorry but dude how mean
  5. If it got close enough for you to hit with a brick it's likely it was an escaped pet, maybe a ferret, rather than a wild weasel/stoat/polecat etc. If you are serious then writing for help while the animal is suffering is extremely cruel and shows an extreme lack of intelligence and common sense. How on earth do you farm poultry with that attitude? The concept of 'mindlessly spreading disease' is an interesting one. All members of the wild ermine family such as weasels, stoats, polecats, mink right up to wolverines naturally hunt rats, rabbits and other 'pests'. I don't see what that has to do with killing it slowly and painfully and leaving it in pain to write a yahoo message has though - justification?
  6. H-m-m-m! Earlier today, I think you had shot a raccoon? Did you finally finish it off? With all these varmints coming to your house, maybe you ought to consider moving into town where two-legged weasels are the problem and would probably give you a fight!
  7. Go troll somewhere else!
