Chook Me!

Who supplies McDonald's with their beef, pork, and poultry products?

I'm doing a project and trying to figure this out, but I can;t find any recent information. If you're going to answers, please cite your source and make it recent. Thanks a bunch

  1. Have you read through Fast Food Nation? That may be helpful to your research. (I haven't seen the movie so I can't comment on that).
  2. Dumbo!
  3. A lot of the beef grown in the Amazon (through de-forestation, etc.) goes to McDonald's and other fast food. Con-Agra and some other huge oligarchy type companies (like Tyson) produce a lot of beef, chicken, etc. See Fast Food Nation, and a great book by Jeremy Rifkin, "Beyond Beef: The Rise and Fall of the Cattle Culture."
  4. mcdonalds australia get there chicken delivered by a company almost everyday, as i see the truck unloading the chicken, but is it frozen or unfrozen? dont know, only people tht have worked for mcdonalds can answer that :P
  5. Do you want to boycott?

  7. um prolly the place who abuses our animal friends! I wouldnt go to mcdonalds if i wer u!
  8. In Australia, McDonalds sources beef and chicken products from local suppliers. They also do this with fresh their fresh vegetables. On their website you can find out about this, just click on the bit that says 'where it comes from'. http://www.mcdonalds.com.au/test.asp http://www.mcdonalds.com.au
  9. Old Mc'Donald he has a farm EIEIO.
  10. McDonald's gets their meats from several commercial sources and this varies by region. They hold all their suppliers to very high standards of sanitation, humane animal treatment, and quality and all meat products and suppliers are regularly inspected for USDA approval and other standards. McD offers information on their product online, start here: http://cep.mcdonalds.com/qualityfood/index.jsp. In doing your project please research well, provide a fact based and well balanced report and don't pander to the ridiculous internet rumors about McDonald's quality.
