Chook Me!

Anyone here ever tried this?

I posted this before but meant to add a couple things...Just curious anyone ever incubate a bird's egg that wasn't a chicken egg or from some other poultry? I mean like a song bird's egg or a pigeon's. Just curious cause I'll probably try this sometime next Spring with a couple domestic pigeon eggs I'm getting from an owner via priority mail, did my homework so I have a rough idea of it and some supplies. No jokes or wisecracks please... Also read one person had sent a pigeon egg in the mail, turned out ok and bird's fully grown.

  1. Yes people incubate bird eggs all the time. My Green Cheeked Conure was incubated and completely hand raised since he was hatched, and many people do this with parrots. Cant see why you couldnt do it with pigeons- its alot of work to handraise chicks, though!
  2. Iv never tried to dothis, but I worked in a home owned petstore and some of my costomers hand raised alot of birds, even finch eggs! Good Luck with your baby birds!
