- Put a beef roast in the crock pot with a package if onion soup mix ans a couple of cups of water. Put cooker on low and let go for 4 to 6 hours. Add carrots and potatoes a couple of hours before serving. Well done tender roast beef with vegetables. Any roast not eaten allow to cook for 4 to 5 more hours on low the next day (after you've taken out the carrots and potatoes) with half a cup of the juice. Meat will become so tender it will flake apart. Drain any juice off add a bottle of barbecue sauce for loose meat barbecue sandwiches/ Ribs - boil ribs in large pot to the point that the meat starts to peel back from bone. Pull ribs out of water and place in crock pot with a bottle of barbecue sauce and let cook on low for 3 or 4 hours. Tender juicy and falling of the bone ribs.
- I use my crock all the time. My favorite thing to do is roast beef. Get a 3-4 lb. lean beef roast and brown it. Put it in your crock pot with 1medium onion, 4-5 ribs of celery, 2 medium size carrots, all cut into bite size pieces. Cover about half way with chicken or beef broth or water. Then add salt and pepper to taste, minced garlic if you like (1 or 2 cloves), and a bay leaf if you have any. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or 4-5 on high-depends on your crock pot. Let the meat stand, covered for about 15 minutes before you slice it. It will make the roast easier to slice and be more juicy. You can add potatoes if you want. I usually do potatoes separately and make gravy from the crockpot juices so we can have mashed potaoes and gravy. Then, here's a dessert I found on Recipezaar.com. Yummy! Crockpot Chocolate Mud Cake Ingredients 1 cup flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 6 tablespoons butter 2 ounces semisweet chocolate or chocolate chips 1 cup sugar, divided 3 tablespoons Dutch-processed cocoa powder, plus 1/3 cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup milk 1 egg yolk 1/3 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 cups hot water whipped cream or ice cream Directions 1Coat the inside of a 2 ½ quart to 5 quart slow cooker or crock pot with cooking spray. 2(Note: the cake’s cooking time and final appearance will vary depending on your crock’s size.) Whisk together the flour and baking powder in a medium bowl and set aside. 3In a large bowl, melt the butter and chocolate in the microwave or over a pan of simmering water and mix well. 4Whisk in the 2/3 cup of sugar, 3 T. 5of cocoa, vanilla, salt, milk, and egg yolk. 6Add the flour mixture and stir until thoroughly mixed. 7Pour the batter into the slow cooker and spread it evenly. 8In a medium bowl, whisk together the remaining sugar, cocoa and hot water until the sugar is dissolved. 9Pour the mixture over the batter in the slow cooker. 10Cover and cook on high for 1 ¼ to 2 ¼ hours, depending on size of the crock pot. 11Even when done, the cake will be very moist and floating on a layer of molten chocolate, but you will know it is ready when nearly all of the cake is set and the edges begin to pull away from the sides of the pot. 12(As you check, try not to let the condensed steam from the lid, drip on the cake.) When it is done, turn off the power and remove the lid. 13Let it cool for 25 minutes, then serve it in bowls topped with whipped cream or ice cream.

- Heres a few: Cola Chicken (Can be fixed in crock pot) 1 family size package chicken wings 2 cup catsup 2 - 12oz. can cola (pepsi, coke, etc.) 2- packages McCormicks Buffalo wings seasoning Put chicken in a non-stick pan. Mix together catsup and cola, seasoning….pour over chicken. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat…cover with lid..and cook 45 minutes. (turning chicken a few times, while cooking...to prevent from sticking to pan) Cook until the sauce becomes thick and adheres to the chicken. It turns into the most incredible BBQ sauce. Yummmm! I used the spices from a MILD (I don't care for "HOT") Buffalo Wings packet...(the kind you get to bake in the oven).....I thought it was really good.....(but you/I can't find a 'bad' way to fix chicken). This recipe is doubled…..for my husband and myself…I use ½ the ingredients. You can double…the double….and more as you like. BBQ Ribs Use the same method (Cola Chicken)….leave out McCormicks seasoning. Ribs & Chicken wings both good…..and……‘s I m p l e’…..to fix…!! Mushroom Chicken 4 chicken breast 1 can cream of mushroom soup water Mix a can of cream of mushroom soup with can of water. Place chicken in crock pot. Pour soup over chicken and cook on medium ....4-5 hours....or until desired doneness. Old Settler's Beans INGREDIENTS: 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb. bacon 1 chopped onion Brown in skillet and drain excess grease. ADD: 16 oz.can Red Kidney Beans (drained) 24 oz. can Pork & Beans (drained) 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/4 cup Catsup 2 TBLS. Molasses 1/2 tsp. dry mustard Mix Thoroughly ! Cook in a crock pot until...hot...hot...hot! POT ROAST Your choice of beef or pork(to fit crock-pot) 1 pkg. dry Ranch dressing mix 1 pkg. dry Italian dressing mix 1 pkg. dry Brown Gravy mix 1 cup water Put beef in pot. Mix together all the dry mixes….then add water …pour over meat and cover & cook on high 4-6 hours. Until meat is tender. The first time I made it I didn’t have the Italian Dressing mix….so I added a pkg. of Onion Soup Mix….I have to say I liked that better. If you use more water you might want to add more Brown Gravy mix….to make a thicker sauce. Was gonna add potatoes and carrots…but never got around to it. "Canned Soup". (My Way!) Whatever cans of veggies I have, that I like, in cabinet it goes in the pot.....along with all the juices in the cans. Cook on stove top or Crock pot. Enjoy! Canned: corn peas carrots gr.beans (any variety) lima beans wax beans tomato (any variety) potatoes (whole or sliced...or both whatever you like) You get the idea....lol. Also add a package of shredded cabbage (cole slaw mix). You can even add a package of onion soup mix. If it gets too dry and needs more liquids....add tomato juice...V-8...etc. "Corny Beanie Weenies." (from a country preacher in Mississippi…wife & 2 teenage sons) Mix one can of good baked beans We use a good sized can of beans (14-16 ounces, I think) and get a kind that we like (maybe with brown sugar, onion, and bacon). There are several kinds of good baked beans. and a package of Oscar Meier Weiners (all sliced up). with a can of whole kernel corn (drained) Any way, heat up these three ingredients, and serve with brown bread (maybe toasted ?) and a glass of milk. It doesn't get any easier than this, and is suprisingly good! Pattsywattsy notes: 1.)Might put ingredients in a casserole dish and top with corn muffin mix. 2.)Use a pound of cooked gr. beef or ground turkey or cooked Jimmy Dean w/sage sausage or some smoked sausage.
