Chook Me!

What's a good side dish to go along with chicken/broccoli & rice casserole?

We've had green beans and peas the last two nights...what's something different that won't be an overload of starch?

  1. Cut the richness of the casserole with a nice leafy salad.
  2. Try a nice green salad with grape tomatoes and cucumber chunks! ** When I cant think of a side dish for dinner, I always Google Image the main dish and see what they have on the side! It's always helpful! Have a good dinner!
  3. i agree with the salad...but make it light...just a few spices(whatever you like) some parmesan or romano cheese, and a great salad dressing you can make at home is olive oil, red wine vinegar, and mayo....use only a small amount of vinegar...it tastes great!
  4. I would suggest a nice tomato salad in a light vinaigrette. The acidity and the color are complimentary to the casserole.enjoy.
  5. Sweet corn or carrots for colour.
  6. tossed salad carrot-raisin salad waldorf salad veggie quiche asparagus carrots
