how to make a chicken casserole?
I want to use turnip, onion, carrots and chicken breast. Not sure how long to cook for, amount of water to use and do you put gravy in the casserole dish along with everything? Help please!

- I'm making chicken casserole tonight. I have put my veg - carrot, leek shallots and new potato's & cut my chicken breast then covered with chicken stock. I have put it in a casserole dish & will cook in the oven 220 for 1 1/2hrs.
- You'll need: 3 cups heavy cream 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. garlic powder Dash pepper Dash nutmeg 2 T Butter Heat the ingredients above in a sauce pan to a low simmer, stirring often. ***Add in 1 package cream cheese and let melt into the sauce. Cook your chicken (grill, poach, sautee) and dice it. Dice your veggies (carrots and turnip about the same size) and dice onion then gently sautee in a little oil or butter for about 5 mins, season with salt and pepper. Boil about 2 cups pasta (penne, macaroni, any kind you like) until just beginning to soften but still very undercooked. Drain pasta and toss with chicken veggies and the sauce. Pour into a baking dish and top with lots of shredded cheese. Bake for 45 mins on 350, covered with tin foil. Adding some green onions on top would be good!
