Why do roosters crow in the mornings only?

I live on a farm. My mom is a farmer and her rooster Feathers allways crows around 6am.How come? Please answer this the best you can.

1. our 3 roosters crow all day long,not just in the morning,I spose it might be because you have only one rooster so he isnt competing,so he doesnt have to keep reminding people....
2. never lived with one have you? They crow whenever they feel like it. (kinda like morning sickness--it happens anytime during the day-or night.)
3. They do it every hour. I guess to compete with the rest Maybe their favorite hen walks by at 6 :-p jk

5. All of the roosters I have, and have ever had, have crowed throughout the day. They don't time when they crow, even though it may seem that way.
6. They usually will crow all day long. That is part of their communication.
