I have had a chicken pox vaccination but unsure about some things?
I was given a chicken pox vaccination as a child and now i am 14. I wanted to know if the vaccine protects you all your life or just for like a year or something. You do have to get chicken pox once right ?

- I didn't know there was a vaccine for chicken pox. Measles, Rubella, Mumps, Polio, etc, yes, but not chicken pox.
- Vaccinations are for the whole life. Inside the vaccination is a little bit of chicken pox, so your body says it already got it, and can't get it again.
- This vaccine is relatively new. By new, I mean within approximately the last ten years. It is my understanding that you only need the vaccination once. No, you shouldn't get chicken pox if you've been vaccinated.
- hope fully not. someone in my english class got chicken pox. stupid chicken pox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
