Help! I need ideas for a side dish to bring when pizza, chicken wings, and beverages are provided?
We're having our wrestling banquet for the young wrestlers and cheerleaders who were involved. Cheerleaders are to bring desserts, while the wrestlers are to bring a side dish. I need ideas to compliment pizza and chicken wings.

- Chips and salsa or guacamole always works.
- fruit or veggie platter cheese/crackers/salami salad....
- potato salad, or coleslaw, or fruit cocktail
- chips an salsa or chips and Queso(cheese dip) perfect for any side dish
- some kind of macaroni salad or potato salad are great!
- 7 or 9 layer dip would be perfect.
- A salad or fruit tray would be good.
- fruit salad, yummy, yummy...
- I would say a big salad with a variety of dressings. It will bring something healthy to the banquet for those wrestlers trying to maintain weight. Make it a good salad with lots of tomatoes and other fillings!
- How about something to break up all that grease? A 7 layer salad, a 3 cheese salad.
- nothing really goes with pizza as a side, but a good pasta salad is good with chicken wings.
- a salad, veggie tray and dip, cole slaw
- Taco dip and chips Cold tuna noodle salad
- maybe a relish tray,we'll often put out a platter with black & green olives, marinated artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes speared with basil, green onions, pepperocini, sweet pickles, dill pickles, slices of bell pepper, mozzarella chunks, and pepper jack slices. you could always substitute tapenade instead of olives. it's more like an antipasto platter than anything, but maybe it'll give you some ideas
- celery and a creamy salad dressing like blue cheese or ranch. salad
- Chips and dip (salsa, guacomale, cheese) Crackers and dip (spinish, crab, cheese) Veggies and Dip (ranch or blue cheese) Fruit (apples or celery) and Dip (peanut butter)
- Tossed Salad
- hot artichoke and spinach dip served with tortilla chips and salsa........it will be a hit!
- Bring "Pasta Salad"...........Just go and buy some "Angel Hair" pasta, some radishes, cucumber's, some green onion's, tomatoes, olives, and some Zesty Italian dressing!! Boil the spagettiini, until tender........I always add a tad of oil in my water so it doesn't stick, and just keep tasting it, and if you already know how to make pasta, then I'll quit while I'm ahead here, and then rinse it in "Cold water" until its cold, but while your waiting for the pasta to get boiled, you can get out your chopping block, and start chopping all of the ingredients and add them to a real nice bowl, drain the olives, and chop them too. and then cover it all up with celefane wrap, or foil, and bring some parmesan cheese with you and add to every one's bowl of pasta salad, you could even bring along some good home made "Garlic Bread" to go with everyone else's dishes, too!! And make it with EVOO, and fresh Garlic instead of butter and powdered garlic.. And everyone will just love this "Garlic Bread" trust me on this one!! my daughter made it once for her class, everyone had to bring something, and so I went and got her all of the ingredient's and even got that fancy garlic bread the Italian's use.. I forget the name of it, and it was a "winner with her class!!" Her teacher even wanted my recipe, HaHaHa!! Pretty cool hoh!! Good luck, Have Fun, And Happy Eating to you and all of your Friends, too!! Smile!!!
- Salad is always easy and always accepted or you can do a nice cheese ball with crackers.
- How about a veggie platter with ranch dip and blue cheese dip. I'm thinking carrots and celery maybe a few cucumbers.
- I would recommend a tossed salad, pasta or macoroni salad, deviled eggs, or a watergate salad -the recipe can be found on: http://www.kraftfoods.com/recipes/SaladsSideDishes/FruitSalads/WatergateSalad.html The watergate salad is what I always bring to my religious functions or parties. Good luck!
- either nachos, mac n cheese, or you can bring sum cupcakes for dessert.
- Baby carrots, celery sticks, individual ranch dressings. The little ranch dressings are sold in 4 packs & 8 packs at the grocery store, usually right next to the bottles of salad dressing. My kids love them. You could put a few carrots and celery sticks on small plates with their individual ranch dressings. If you use small plastic plates then plastic wrap will stick to them, making it easier for you to prepare them up in advance. It sounds like fun, hope they have a blast. p.s. we always have celery and ranch dressing with wings, so you might want to find out of anyone is bringing that with the wings.
- I like to bring fruit. Grapes are good & refreshing. You can mix green, red & blue. It's nice to break the big bunch down in to handy sprigs or 4 to 8 grapes for snacking.
- Rotel!!Yum!!
- Finger bits e.g. tacos, bread sticks, and such, dips of as many different flavours as can be got. Garlic, chilli, cheese, sour cream & chives, the list is endless. The more variations the merrier.

SPOON evenly into 6 individual serving bowls; top each with 2 Tbsp. of the whipped topping. _______________________________________________ more recipes can be found at the link below ... http://www.kraftfoods.com/recipes/SaladsSideDishes/FruitSalads/index.html

- Easy pasta salad, goes great as a side for any Italian dinner. I always have this requested as my dish to bring which is great cause' it's crazy simple! Large batch recipe: 2 Bags rainbow corkscrew pasta- cooked aldente' 1 jar roasted red peppers, drained and chopped 2 bunches scallions/spring onions chopped very small 1 each of orange and yellow bell peppers- chopped 2 small cans sliced black olives- drained 1 to 1-1/2 bottles Zesty Italian dressing Cook pasta and drain well, add all ingredients and toss, viole'! Delicious and a little healthy to an otherwise heavy meal. Good Luck! Tip: This salad tastes even better after it's sat in the fridge overnight, and has all the flavors infused, so go easy and make ahead.
- BRING CHEESECAKE! SNICKER CHEESECAKE!~~~

- garlic bread
- salad, garlic bread, veggies with dip, pepperoni rolls, garlic knots
- Baked Mac and cheese. They'll dig it. It's got big noodles and not as soupy. Not the box stuff.
- How about a huge Caesar salad? Goes great with pizza AND wings and can be thrown together with three ingredients from the supermarket to ease: bags of Romain lettuce, bottles of Caesar dressing [Paul Newman makes a great one] and a couple of boxed of croutons. Ta da! Have fun! :o)
- Well, fresh fruit salad for afterward to cleanse the palate or even fresh mixed greens salads for aftewards. We always eat salad after every meal. Most people eat before be we are a little odd in our household. I think for those are really note interested in eating pizza or other greasy entree's it would be a nice choice. You could throw some chicken breast on the salad too make a nice alternative.
