Is it normal for society finch fosters to eat baby chicks poop?

it it normal. cuz my society finch eats the baby chick's (gouldian finch) poop. is this bad for the chicks?

1. Yes is very bad for the chick it could get the chick ill and i think its doing this for some reason there is many reason.You can try to keep the chick away from those poop too.Then feed it what it need to eat.
2. I've seen birds eat other's poop when sharing a cage. It's fairly normal but I would still try and prevent it. Try changing the liner more often and cleaning pieces off of perches and such. It probably won't hurt your bird unless the poop stays there for a long time.
