When baking Bar-B-Q Chicken wings should I pour the sauce on in the beginning?

- Yep! The sauce will cook with the wings and bring out the full flavor all the way to the bone. If you put it on afterwords, its gonna taste like you just poured BBQ sauce on them or that you are just dipping them in sauce. Always glaze first! Hope this Helps!
- Most BBQ sauces use some sugar and it will burn. I suggest seasoning the wing, cooking them and then tossing them in BBQ
- lol my mom does it after i think
- Putting b-b-q on before hand will not cause them to burn unless you turn them up on hi in hopes of gripingg them up. It you want crisp wings then NO, do not sauce the wings before hand. I would sprinkle them with some flavors that may be associated with b-b-q sauce such as chili powder, a tiny bit of brown sugar, a little ground mustard etc... Bake them, I like to do mine with no seasoning and bake them fry but you can bake and then broil. Make sure your sauce is nice and warm, maybe even hot and give them a good toss justafirere serving.
- You can either season them with a rub (spice mix) or bake them in the sauce. If you bake them in the sauce however, you want to make sure to cover the pan your cooking them in with tin foil (tightly) during most of the cooking time, removing the foil in the final 10-15 minutes to thicken the sauce. During this final period make sure to turn them in the sauce a few times to help the sauce coat the wings completely.
- As a marinade, before... but as a bbq sauce, near the end because the sugar burns!
