here's another diet question.. calories?
So you are suppose to only eat so many calories a day. If i eat low calorie food all day, and stay under my limit, will that help me loose weight? what if i fall off the wagon and eat something bad for me... like chicken wings at wing night at the bar... should i not eat anymore.... or go for a run? Exercising to make up for heavy calorie food, is that what i should do? For example! I ate this morning an oatmeal pie cookie, so i did crunches untill i couldn't stand it!?

- Burning more calories through regular activities and through exercises than you eat will make you lose weight.
- Your calorie limit depends on things like your height, the build of your body, and your daily physical activity. I probably consume more calories than the average 24 year old woman of my height, but I can get away with it because I am very active. As for falling off the wagon...no big deal. Don't stress out about it, you can make up for it by exercising some more, or cutting down in other areas. I like to drink beer, and I know to do so and not gain weight, I have to stay active. Don't cut yourself off from your favorite food or drinks, that's just asking for a binge. If you want to make up for that cookie, crunches aren't the way to go. Try to do some quick cardio, like a 15 minute jog, instead.
- A calorie is a calorie, and to lose weight you have to burn more calories then you take in. It doesn't matter where the calories came from (weight wise). You can eat a ton of healthy food, or you can watch what you eat and have a treat once in awhile, just make sure you make up for it by cutting back. Say you ate 500 extra calories one day. Try to eat 100 less, or burn an extra 100 for the next 5 days and you'll be back on track. 1 day won't mess you up, unless you let it. Good luck!!! :-)
- the way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you eat, so you can eat what you will as long as you do the exercise to burn it off. the easiest way to burn calories is running/cardio vascular exercise.
- Calorie Smalorie- counting calories do not work! I repeat- COUNTING CALORIES DO NOT WORK!! The best thing to do is get an IDEA of about how many calories you should consume and try to budget your eating. Many people under estimate how many calories they are truly eating. You should be eating 5-6 meals a day. About 400-500 calories for a full meals and 200-300 calories for a snack. The main thing is PORTION CONTROL. Did you know that 1 portion of meat is about the size of a bar of soap. That is much to your stomach but that is all that you need. Throw in some fruits and veggies, do not drink anything but water (crystal light is yummy) and exercise. It really is simple but people complicate things much more because they try to find a way to beat the odds and be lazy... there is nothing lazy about being fit.
