How would i hatch two chick eggs?

Can i hatch just two eggs together, or do i need more? If i want to hatch to two chick eggs, would i need to get more than two incase they don't hatch? How would i make a homemade incubator that is good for 2 eggs, all the websites only give ones for 20+ eggs.

  1. if you only want one egg you can try only one. you don't need any extra unless you want to make sure that one hatches. where are you getting fertile eggs to hatch? you can make an incubator out of almost anything as long as you are able to constantly monitor the exact temperature 34/7 until they hatch.
  2. You can buy incubators to hatch small quantities. A proper and successful incubator also needs to maintain the right humidity and the right amount of turning. Here's a link: http://www.theincubatorshop.co.uk/products/beginners_incubators.html I suggest you buy the beginner's kit.
  3. Why don't you sit on them and see what happens?
  4. You can hatch just two eggs together in an incubator. The temperature is very important and can't be off more than .5 degrees. The temperature must be at a constant 100º throughout the incubation process. Not only must the temperature be constant, you need to control the humidity in the incubator, adding more water to increase the humidity as the hatching time approaches. Once the egg starts to grow, you must not drop the temperature down or the egg dies. If you haven't started the incubation period, the egg must be kept cooler than 50º. Once it starts, keep it at 100º. At the 10 day mark, you should be able to check the egg to see if it's fertile. Hold a small flash light up to the side of the egg in a dark room and you should see red veins along the inside of the egg. If the egg is still clear, it's probably not fertile. Make sure there are no cracks in the egg or it will rot and destroy all other eggs in the incubator because of the bacteria that will grow.
