Can I incubate a duck egg and a chicken egg at the same time?
I was wondering if I could incubate duck eggs and chicken eggs in the same incubator at the same time. Thanks, Dillon

- in incubator yes but ducks take longer to hatch
- Yes. They require the same temps., 99.5 degrees F, and humidity. Remember to stop turning the chicken eggs on day 19 and increase the humidity from the 86-88 to 90-94. Chickens hatch on day 21 and ducks hatch on day 28. The increase should not hurt the duck eggs, reduce it back to 86-88 when the chicks are hatched and then raise it again the last three days for duck eggs to hatch properly. To make it simple, place the duck eggs in the incubator and on day 7 put the chicken eggs in. That way the humidity the last three days will match the requirements of both breeds of eggs.
