Which is healthier? Baked chicken or boiled chicken?
I normally cooked the chicken in the oven..depends on what recipe I'm using. And I hardly use any oil for that. I tried boiled once to cook a chicken rice porridge. And it work alright. I'm just curious which is more healthy. And if any of you know anymore recipes for boiled chicken, let me know. Thank you in advance.

- Bake chicken less greasy.
- for the chicken........i'd say, no humans.
- im not sure. but boiled chicken doesn't sound appetizing at all.
- Boiled. It gets rid of Germs on it to. Boiled is so much better.
- Baked chicken is more healthy as the chicken has a chance to be drained of the fat.
- Baked chicken!
- As far as calorie and fat content, they would be equal. It all depends on what you add to it. If you are using the exact same chicken to either bake or boil it, and don't add any extra fat like sauces or things like that, then they would be the same. Baked chicken sounds much more appetizing though.
- boiled chicken
- Baked, the boiled chicken boils in it’s own fat juices. Baking it on a brailer pan will alow the oils to fall way from the chicken insteda of pooling under it.
- boiled just isnt worth it just looks mank. baked you atleast get the nice crispness...just stick with the one you like as chicken isnt a fattening meat so isnt an unhealthy option
- Never Boil, Simmer or poach instead Simmered chicken is healthier because the water leeches out more of the fat. Simmered chicken is usually for making soup. Chicken salad is a good use for the chicken after you make the soup (using the whole chicken in the soup would be too overwhelming) That being said, baked (roasted) chicken is much tastier. The caramelization of the skin creates more flavor. Simmered chicken is not very flavorful without sauces.
- As we know grease is very unhealthy and fattening. So baked chicken is much more desirable and healthy. Try recipes from the website below. I found one I like but theres more you might like.?
- backed chiken , that what i find more healthier
- boiled chicken the meat would be more moisted.
- Boiled chicken is a bit healthier, but loses a lot of its flavour
- Boiled chicken which I love!!
- BOILED CHICKEN 3 to 4 lbs. of chicken, legs and thighs of an older chicken - the larger ones 1/2 c. chopped celery 1 onion, chopped Cover chicken, celery and onions with water and boil for about 1 hour. Add salt. Take about 1/2 of the chicken out and some of the juice. Cook noodles in the remaining juice for chicken and noodles. Add corn for chicken corn soup. Next day you can bone the rest of the chicken, make gravy by adding flour and water and have chicken and waffles or mashed potatoes with chicken and gravy. Serves 6-8.
- The healthiest chicken is cooked without the SKIN. Boil a whole, skinned chicken with lots of vegetables and use the cooled, defated meat for anything! If you skin and bake or broil, the meat will need to be moistened while cooking and watched so it doesn't burn. Enjoy!
