How much are baby chicks?

I am going to buy some baby chicks at central tractor how much do they usually cost? and if i start raising them inside now will they be laying eggs by summer?

2. Chicks can be purchused as little as 1 dollor but the chicks bye me are 2 to 3 dollers and no it takes around 6 months depending on the breed lehorns can lay at 5 months hopw this helps.
3. Depending on where you buy them, and the breed they are, chicks can cost between $1-$4 each. And no, they probably won't be laying by summer time since they have to grow between 6-7 months depending on the breed before they lay eggs. Hope this helps!
