Chicken soup question:Can you substitute beef bouillon for chicken broth ? How to make the best stock?
making chicken noodle soup, have chicken in pot making a stock and dont want to run and get bouillon cubes. i have beef bouillon 'powder' of some sort and was wondering if that would taste good with the chicken already cooking in the pot. Alternately is it just a matter of cooking the chicken for longer to get the stock to be more flavorful? how long do you simmer the chicken for stock? 1 hr? 4hrs? 10???

- You would be better off using water than adding beef boullion.
- if you add the beef bullion your gonna get beefy chicken...but it could be interesting! best best is to stick with letting your chicken create it's own broth or make a quick run to the store.
- Youd be better off doing a veggie broth. And you only cook it until the noodles are done.
