Does Anyone Else See the Irony in the Dixie Chicks Controversy?

About the comment Natalie Maines made about being ashamed George Bush is from Texas? I mean, to start, it pretty much killed their career because they exercised their right to free speech, and in the end, we all agreed that Bush sucked, and he ended up as one of the worst presidents in history.

1. What irony? They used their freedom of speech and the consumers used their freedom of choice by not buying their concert tickets. And I don't even have a comment on the Bush sucked and blah blah seeing you more than likley get your news from SNL, Jon Stewert and David Letterman. Sigh..I just wonder when these Democrats who have been in charge of Congress for going on 3 years and their supporters,as well as a Dem President now, who cried Bush started an illegal war are going to bring the troops home as promised? I guess not for awhile since Obama is asking for another 83 billion to continue the war effort...Which will be approved..once again..by the Democrat Congress..Where oh where is Natlie Maines outrage now? Keep drinking that kool-aid. edit-badfinger I ask all the time to older dems what gave Kennedy this reputation of being a great President.All they can say is he offered hope to an entire nation.The same answer as Obama supporters say,LOL When I think of Kennedy alI I can think of is The Bay Of Pigs,Cuban missle crisis ,Vietnam and adultery..What a guy.
2. I have always maintained that the Dixie Chicks did nothing wrong...I too am ashamed of Bush and his predecessor. This country has gone to hell in a hand basket and none of our "fearless" leaders care about our country or us....it is the almighty dollar and nothing else. You asked....
3. "In the end, we all agreed that Bush sucked." You know, he wasn't half as bad as the media and liberals (the two go hand-in-hand) made him out to be! If you had a brain, you'd realize that, even though he's been president for less than 100 days, Obama's already proving to be worse! JFK wasn't a truly great president, yet people raise him up so high and, in all honesty, probably because of how he was assassinated. I'm not saying he was a bad person, but, instead, I'm saying that JFK just wasn't really a great president! Of course, NO president I know of could ever be half as bad as Obama! And, by the way, George Bush was born in Connecticut.
4. Please don't use Yahoo Answers to bash the former President, use a blog like all the other libs do.
5. Open your eyes: we are all cut from the same fabric. Bush is Obama is Kennedy is Kevin Bacon is Natalie Maines is Tom Green is Mother Teresa. You want irony? Some of us still vote and believe in the democratic system. Now that's a lol and a half imo...
6. no, we dont all agree Bush sucked but obama sure does. as for the dixie buzzards they got what they deservered.Real Americans exersized their rights like the chicks did and decided the chicks werent worth it. I am one of them.
