Using kettle thermostat for poultry incubator?
Trying to build a cheap and cheerful home incubator, in styrofoam, will heat with a light bulb. I have read somewhere that you could use the thermostat from a kettle. can anyone confirm this, how would you set the thermostat up? thanks in advance. Xav

- Cant see how it would work ,why not use a room stat , you will pick up a new one for a tenner
- Complete waste of time using a kettle, thermostat.the max heat you need for hatching eggs is 95.5c a kettle thermostat is set for boiling point, which is way to high. The cheapest thermostat is a Fish tank one,or as some one suggests a room stat. Instructions are normally in the instruction leaflets supplied.
- why not use the heat from the airing cupboard,,good luck
