Real cheap and easy chicken recipes? ( details included )?
I want to make either a zesty lime chicken or a creamy garlic butter sauce with chicken in it. I have less than like $20 to spend at the grocery store to get extra ingredients. Right now I have your basics like the chicken breast and flour and milk and some seasonings but any recipes or advice will be helpful. God bless!

- *This is one of me and my family's absolute favorite dishes. Very inexpensive and easy to make- I've made it 3 times in the past 2 months Garlic Chicken 4 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 lb) 20 cloves garlic, peeled ¾ cup fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth ¼ cup Kraft light classic Caesar Dressing ¼ cup Kraft grated Parmesan cheese 1. Heat large nonstick skillet and 2 Tbs vegetable oil on medium-high heat. Add chicken and garlic; cook 4 min., turning chicken after 2 min. 2. Stir in broth and dressing; cover with lid. Cook chicken 4 min on each side or until done. 3. Sprinkle with parmesan. Remove from heat. Let stand, covered, 1 min. 4. Serve with roasted vegetables. How I make Roasted Vegetables: *Place carrots and 1 inch cubed potatoes on a roasting pan, cover with olive oil, sea salt and seasoning and cook in a 425 degree oven for 25 minutes or until tender (stir halfway through cooking). For seasoning I use a combination of black pepper, sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and a dash of red pepper These roasted carrots and potatoes go so well with the chicken, I strongly recommend adding them, and they are so easy to make and so so tasty, too.

Add vinegar, olive oil, garlic and rosemary. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat). Season chicken with salt and pepper. Grill chicken and onions until chicken is just cooked through and onions are golden brown, turning occasionally, about 10 minutes. Grill cut sides of rolls until golden brown. Spread bottom halves of rolls with chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Top with chicken breast and some grilled onions and arugula. Spread top halves of rolls with 1 tablespoon goat cheese and place atop sandwiches. Serve. 20$ should cover everything else you need.
- Ohhh you will love this Rice and chicken up-side-downs Cut the chicken breasts in cubes - Heat a frying pan with 1 table spoon of oil. - sauté the chicken with some garlic, (if you have red pepper), salt and some lime juice. - cook some rice (In a pot add on table spoon of oil and add the rice and let it fry for a minute and then add the recommended amount of water. Let it boil and then cover it and let it cook for 15 minutes on low heat.) In a small bowl, put a layer of the chicken cubes then a layer on cheese then a layer of rice and you do the same thing again. You flip it up-side-down and you a great delicious dish to ready to serve.
- Well, I suppose you could make a variation on peasant-chicken francais using lime instead of lemon, but I'm not sure if you'd have to change the proportions. Flatten your chicken breast and cut it into strips, give it an egg-wash then crumb and fry it gently. Make a sauce by melting a tablespoon or so of butter (you can wing this sauce fairly easily) and a splash of milk with some cornflour to thicken, add a few drops of lime juice (don't use too much! seriously, far too easy to make it too strong.) and simmer gently. You can either let it simmer and thicken and then pour over your chicken, or place the chicken in the sauce and let it absorb for a few minutes. I prefer the second, but either is delicious. Serve over rice or alongside a few nice veges. Hope that helps!
- I have a zesty lemon chicken recipe, I would think you could use lime. It's really good, refreshing, looks like a real summer dish. Serves 6 1 chicken (about 3 1/2 pounds), cut into 10 pieces or 2.5 lbs skinless, boneless breasts, cut in strips 6 garlic cloves, smashed 2 small lemons or 1 large, quartered 1 teaspoon dried oregano 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon olive oil salt and ground pepper 2 cups orzo(rice shaped pasta) 1/2 teaspoon dried dill 2 tablespoons red-wine vinegar 1 bag spinach, washed and roughly chopped Directions .Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Set a large saucepan of water to boil. .On a large rimmed baking sheet, toss together chicken, garlic, lemons(lightly squeeze), oregano, and 1 teaspoon oil(more if using skinless); season with salt and pepper. Roast chicken until golden and cooked through, 25 to 30 minutes. .Meanwhile, generously salt boiling water. Add orzo, and cook until al dente; drain well, and return to saucepan. Add dill and 1 tablespoon oil; season with salt and pepper, and mix gently to combine. .In a large bowl, whisk together vinegar and remaining 2 tablespoons oil; season with salt and pepper. When chicken and orzo are ready, add spinach to bowl; toss to coat, then mix in the hot orzo. Spinach will just about wilt. Drizzle chicken with pan juices and top the orzo-spinach mixture with it.
- Here's a pretty good recipe I found online, courtesy of Cooks.com, and it is relatively cheap. GARLIC LEMON CHICKEN BREAST 2 tablespoons grated lemon rind (fresh) 4-5 cloves garlic, crushed 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice 2 teaspoons paprika 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts olive oil salt, pepper, garlic powder (for sprinkling) 4 onion slices (sliced in thick rings) heavy duty aluminum foil Cut 4 rectangles of heavy duty aluminum foil, each about the size of 1/2 a standard cookie sheet. Combine first 5 ingredients (this can optionally be done in a blender). Spray (or brush) the 4 large rectangles of aluminum foil with olive oil. Place chicken in center; brush with lemon/garlic mixture, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, and lightly dust with garlic powder. Place a slice of onion over each. Fold up aluminum into a loose, square packet and crimp edges tightly to seal well. Place in a shallow baking dish or on the grill. Bake at 350°F for about 50-60 minutes (this depends on the size of each chicken piece). Makes 4 Servings Hope you enjoy this meal! God bless!
- Marinade the chicken meat in Creamy Garlic salad dressing overnight in a plastic bag, then bake (after removing from the bag!) at 350 in a covered dish for 20 minutes. Cover meat with another bottle of dressing, and finish baking uncovered, about 15 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles. With the money you save you can buy a nice white or blush wine to go with it.
- ok since u have the chicken already(or u can buy a roasted chicken for $3-$5 at the grocery store cheap and tasty!) but a head of garlic (about $1-$3 or at costco $3 for huge bag) olive oil which can be about $5 for a huge jar, some salt if u want, and a loaf or fresh bread(cheap and a great side with butter!) So cook the chicken as usual then let it sit in the smashed garlic and olive oil for about 1 hour to get all the taste (olive oil is mich healthier for u then butter even though butter is yummy!) and then serve with a little salt and some bread! Very cheap, healthy and tasty garlic chicken :-)
