Can I have pet bunnies in my chicken coop?
We are building a chicken coop. My children want some pet bunnies, which the set up for the bunnies would be very similar to the coop. With a few very small adjustments I know I could physically make it work, but I am wondering if Chicken can live harmoniously with rabbits. Thanks!!

- mine do.. they get along just fine and barely acknowledge each other. just be careful because rabbits do have TONS of babies.. like every 28 days. But I'm sure you knew that.
- I think not. The rabbit needs a wire floor to keep him from digging out and escaping; the chickens need dirt to scratch. Joel Saletin has a design for a large system that keeps the two types of animal in the same barn, using worms that feed on rabbit manure to feed the chickens. I can't remember which of his books described it- either "Pastured Poultry Profits" or "You can Farm" Either way, the animals were in separate pens under the same roof.
