Chook Me!

how do i know if my hamburgers and chicken are cooked on the grill?

So, this is kind of a dumb question, but I said I would grill for the fourth today. Yep. However, I've never done hamburgers and chicken on the grills before. I've done vegetables and corn, however, how do I know if these two are done? I do NOT have a thermometer. Okay, you didn't read the question, I don't ahve a thermetor.

  1. cut into the chicken and look for pink, if you find its pink, its not done. Same for burgers.....just cook longer with the lid down. Season well. Cook all till brown on outside.
  2. Well for both hamburgers and chicken a quick way of checking is you can just simply press down gently on the meat. If it is firm than you know it is done. If it is not firm well than you know it might need to be cooked for a while longer. :) Hope this helped.
  3. With hambuger press lightly in the burger with your spatula if the juices are clear than its done make sure not to do this to must being you'll lose flavor and done let them cook til there is no juice unless yo like dry burger's. with chicken use a fork and press in the center of chicken (asuuming your using boneless chick breast's) if it bounce's back up its done but if not cook it longer. you'll also get better results if you spray on the food directly with pam spray not the grill before grilling.
