How can I cook chicken without adding calories?
I usually make boneless, skinless chicken breasts. My options are either frying or baking. I do have a grill pan, but cooking on that without adding any oil or anything usually means I smoke myself out of the apartment (is this what happens to other people?). What's the best way to cook chicken breasts without adding a ton of (or, ideally, any) calories?

- Grill it under the top eelment in the oven
- trying poaching it gently in liquid. You could poach it in bouillon, apple juice, white wine, etc. Add some seasonings to the liquid, perhaps a little curry, white pepper, ground cumin, etc. You could also add some chopped celery, carrots, potatoes, etc. and make a one-dish stew at the same time.
- In the Dr. Bernstein diet you cook a plain b/s chicken breast in salsa. It's virtually fat free and super tasty..
- Frying causes calories that no one needs. Just wet the breast with water and roll in some bread crumbs that you have added seasonings to. Make sure your chicken has been pounded or sliced. Bake 450 for 20 minutes. Simple and very tasty. I do this about once a week.
- Bake with Mrs. dash- lots of different varieties and flavors, bake on a rack over a pie pan or something in foil so it stays moist.
- I would poach in fresh lemon/lime juice and some water. Just about anything adds calories--even bread crumbs. Salsa is a good low fat alternative too.
