Chook Me!

Rabbit owners help please? Thinking about getting a rabbit or 2.?

Hi. I am thinking about getting two rabbits. I will be getting two females. Do i need two hutches for them? I dont know much about rabbits, so I want to research fully before I commit myself to a rabbit(s) Will two females get on? I dont want a male... as I already have a male cat and a male chihiuahua, so I want two females. What kind of hutch should I get for two? How big does it have to be for two dwarfs? And how big does it need to be for two medium sized ones? Is this cage ok? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Poultry-Hen-Chicken-House-Ark-Coop-Rabbit-Hutch-EB01A_W0QQitemZ320366238842QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Poultry?hash=item4a9750dc7a&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1686%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50#ebayphotohosting Please send me a link for a good affordable rabbit cage which has a run attatched. 1. Hi Two females might get on but their is a higher chance that they won't. Your best bet would be to get two spayed bunnies from a shelter, their are lot's of bunnies in shelters all over the UK. Or buy two bunnies and keep them separated until you can get them spayed and then bond them. The cage should be at least big enough for both rabbits to be able to hop in a line four times, stretch out fully in each direction and stand up fully. Here is a great website for rabbit supplies and rabbit hutches, this is the one I really recommend but there is loads to choose from http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/cages/rabbit_hutches/other/58038 You should spend as much money as possible on a nice, big, sturdy cage/hutch for your rabbits as it is worth it in the long run.
