How do I tell people I'm giving up junk food?

- First off, a lot of those things are healthy for you. What ARE you going to eat? You don't have to tell anyone. Why do they care?

- Shouldn't have to explain yourself to others. Just say you are trying a healthier diet. And definitely don't list all the foods you will or will not eat during a conversation with another person... hahaha.

- Why would you need to tell people that? Its not their business. Unless someone were to ask if you liked something in particular or you were dining in someone's home then it would be polite to adivse them that you are dieting...Otherwise, why does anyone need to know that?
- just say you are and explain why. and if they laugh just ignore them...

- in a condescending way, also is your diet a statement of intent or a regular part of your diet now? because such a radical, overnight change wont last, you still need your treats, just choose them wisely...
- when if you are feeling like you are under pressure then slowly let it out bit by bit, but if you want it to get over and done with say to them ' ive quit on junk foods' trust me i know becasue i have actually done this by myself and people just carry on how you were as to the sart of the day, by the way no need to be worried.

- Just tell em your a picky vegan except for the nuts and afew other vegetables. If that don't shut them up nothing will. Besides with a diet like that you'll be dead within a year so you won't have to.

- If this all means that you've decided to become a vegetarian or vegan, then just tell people that you've decided to become a vegetarian or vegan.
- copy and paste that list into a letter and send it to everyone you know. otherwise you might have died before you manage to tell anyone about your diet, never mind have had time to go to the gym.
- Well, when people offer you things in the "not allowed" list, just tell them "no thank you". And if it's in the allowed list, say "yes please".
- Giving up junk food is a great thing, but are you setting yourself up for a fall due to overly high expectations? Support from your friends can be an important thing, so you need to simply tell them what you are doing and ask for their support. Brainstorm how they could help you (like with cravings or whatever). Changing over to a complete "veg" and natual diet can be difficult if you have left yourself no room to move. I would suggest that you speak with your doctor or a dietian for more help.
- you really don't need to tell anyone.. if someone offers you "Junk food" just say no thanks. i normally eat the stuff you are just starting to eat! some of the stuff i never heard of tho.. lol but either way it's your deit not anyonesels so no need to put pressure on anyone by stating your new diet! just stick with it and good luck

- You don't need to go out and tell people - just don't eat any of that if offered to you, and simply say you're on a diet. (And most of that list isn't actually junk food - some is good for helping to lose weight - "junk" food has much higher amounts of sugars, starches and empty calories)

- Oh for goodness' sake, just eat less than 2000 calories per day of whatever food's on offer and go to the gym for an hour or so 4 or 5 times per week and the weight will soon drop off. Otheriwse you will drive yourself (and everybody else) crazy and your diet will last about 2 days. This is a very odd question. I actually thought it was a joke at first. And why bother putting sharon fruit on the to-eat list if you don't like it? By the way, giving up haggis is criminal.
- You don't!!! I imagine like me you are wanting to cut down to lose weight. Honestly, the more you bring attention to yourself the more your friends will notice and some unintentionally will tempt you. Eat sensibly and don't attempt to tell your friends what you are doing. It's amazing how you can put your hand in a dish and take out one tiny thing, put it in your mouth and nobody will notice how much you have taken. I have just lost 1 1/2 stone and not mentioned to anyone I am on a diet. Majority haven't as yet noticed I've lost weight but it was sooooooooooo good when I met an aquaintance unexpectedly and she noticed.
