What's the best way (or tools) to cook Beer Can Chicken on an open grill?

My grill's lid is busted...are there any alternatives? (bags? aluminum? etc..) Thanks!

1. If you can overlap enough aluminum foil (the big extra thick roll) to cover the grill that would work fine. Careful though the foil will get hot, use oven mits when removing.
