Are the Dixie chicks ever coming out with a new album?

hey all itd 2009 and the chicks havent put out an album since 2006 any one know if a new one is coming?

1. i hope so . the chicks were blacklisted for saying about Bush what other people thought and are saying now . i love their music

Nothing on an album from the whole band but Martie's working on a solo disc: Dixie Chicks Martie Maguire records Friday, January 16, 2009 – Martie Maguire of the Dixie Chicks is working on a fiddle album, although details are scant. Among the players are Rob Ickes, Scott Vestal, Alison Krauss and Keith Sewell, who toured with the Chicks. Songs recorded included Fire on the Mountain. Ickes said he went down to Texas in November for about 10 days to record for the album. "It was great," said Ickes. There was no word on the Chicks web site about the recordings. EDIT: I too am looking forward to new music from the whole band though I still think FLY is their best work to date.

4. Haven't heard one way or the other. I'm sure they have been enjoying spending time with their husbands and kids, but they truly were amazing. It's really sad when people get shunned so badly for giving their opinion. Would love to hear some new stuff by them for sure!
