- Its possible but you have to turn the eggs so many times and the humidity must be kept right to have the correct moisture level
- yes they will if you do it right, the temperature has to be perfect and warm at all times.
- I don't think your invention is going to work even a store bought one only has about a %80 success rate nice try though !
- Duck eggs are a lot more difficult to get a hatch from than chicken eggs for example. It takes 28 days with a commercial incubator under "ideal" controlled conditions, (Temperature, Humidity, Egg Turning, Candling). Even the universities won't even attempt the old "box and light" method with duck eggs as it most always results in failure. Stick with chicken eggs if you want to hatch "anything" at all.
- No... Incubators not homemade work best, they keep the heat in there and not escape and dont leave the eggs with hot spots, which can hurt growing embryo. Also it needs to be more than that, if you want them to hathc you have to be doing things properly like having water in a bowel or misting the eggs once aday or have a try of water under the eggs so chick will not get stuck hatching. You have to turn them 3 times a day as well and stop on day 18 of incubation You have t have temo at 99-101 degrees F
- Hi, I suggest you give up on the idea of using a fish tank, you will not be able to regulate either the temperature or humidity. If you still want to make an incubator, then make one of the following ones on this web site. http://www.birdsale.com.au/Details/DIY_Incubators.html You may have better success. Good luck.
