should the roosters be kicked out of the comp in favor of a central coast team?
lets be honest now. they tried to buy a premiership by buying as many bulldogs as they could from the 2004 bulldogs comp winning side and instead they bought a wooden spoon, and players that urinate and defecate in public!

- Just no. Roosters are a foundation club and the only club to be there since 1908, in favor of a club that hasn't even started...
- I don't like them one bit but since they are a foundation club I guess they have to stay....
- No. If being awarded the wooden spoon, misbehaving in public, trying to win a Premiership by signing opposition players, etc. is the criteria for being kicked out of the competition then there would hardly be any teams left. Please tell me the name of any Club with a perfect record.
- I think there should be a Central Coast based club, but not at the expense of a foundation club like the Roosters. The NRL tried to do away with tradition when they excluded South Sydney from the premiership in 2000 - 2001and that was a massive failure! Instead of excluding the Roosters, the NRL should look at excluding the New Zealand Warriors and re-instating the Bears on the Central Coast.
- You obviously have something against the roosters. Financially they are doing better than most of the Sydney teams and they have made four grand finals this decade. They have been in the comp for 100 years and have fostered some of th greatest players ever including Beetson and Fittler. Kicking the Roosters out of the comp would be just as much, if not more of a farce than when the Rabbitohs were booted. Every teams have players that act up, Nate Myles defecated in a hotel corridor, not a public place, your other example of bad behaviour is urinating in public, something everybody with a penis (and some without) has done at some stage in their life. The only proper reason you have for kicking them out of the comp now is that they are having a bad season, this makes your view the only thing that is more short-sighted than the roosters recruitment since 2005. Be honest, this is the truth
- No of course not its not a good enough reason. The rest of us can have a chuckle at all the players that go to them automatically think they are Bondi lifesaver heroes - walk the walk (on the promenade) never talk the talk on the field - SHOW PONIES lol
- They should. It has been a few years since they won the comp, they kicked out foundation club Newtown 2 years after the made the GF. They have no juniors to speak of. As for keeping them in because they are a foundation club, what about Newtown and the Bears. They were both foundation clubs and where are they now,
- if that's the criteria for being kicked out then all others teams should go as well,"O YE OF BAD MEMORIES",
- Not just for 1 wooden spoon. If they keep it up and get 10 in a row then you would have to think about it.
- You can't get rid of a club for getting the wooden spoon.
- Nup. I have my doubts whether the bears would work now anyway.
- Roosters are just a joke and will have to choke that i wish i can poke..... Roosters suk they have a mad team but they coach is bad and not professional at training players but Braddy Fitler use to be an awsume player...... GO THE DRAGONS NO.1
- Why the Roosters??? That was the Foundation club when Rugby League started. Kick the rabbitohs and replace them with the central coast.
- Yiutao's right on the money. Axe the Rabbits instead.
- They were slowly killing the game when they ditched the foundation Clubs, Norths are the answer for the Central Coast, maybe Cronulla could merge (or be swallowed) by East. Yeh the behaviousr has been the worst of any Club, I could of told you at the start of the season that Freddy was fighting with the boys & it all started over Matty Johns training key players on a personnal basis & the players wanting to use those skill sets in a game.
- As a Coasty, I desperately want a RL team based on the Central Coast but you can't kick out teams for getting the woodern spoon. Look at last year, how one season can change for the dogs and the cowboys, and look at how many of last years semi finalists are now at the bottom of the ladder this year. The roosters seem to have no morals and will do anything to keep their players on the field and play down any run ins with the law, but you can't kick them out for the woodern spoon. Come on Gallop, Give the Central Coast a team.....
- The Roosters should not be kicked out. The team that should be kicked out would have to be the Rabbitohs. When was the last time they made the grand final? The Roosters made the grand final in 2000 (lost admittingly) but made the grand final 3 years in a row this century. Has another club done that so far? Finacially, roosters are going great compared to other clubs. As for the Rabbitohs, they are a pathetic team who's only notariety is through having a HOLLYWOOD owner. It wouldn't be a bad idea to merge the Sharks with the Rabbitohs. Either that or just get rid of Rabbitohs altogether.
