  1. wont hatch, it's probably infertile. if it's a fertile egg, then you would need an incubator. there real easy to make yourself, a polystyorine box, and a small light bulb and thermostat. i used a meat package box, an aquarium thermostat and a heat mat.
  2. im sry but store bought eggs wont hatch im sry get a egg right from a farm where there is a rooster n a chicken k? "Most commercial chicken incubators are electrically heated to maintain a constant temperature of from 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Chicken eggs normally incubate for about 21 days before they hatch." got it from a website below
  3. He is Right it might not be fertile. Candel it with a flashlight in a dark room and see if you see a pink blotchy (chick) spot. and if so take a box put a small water dish in the botton and a wire scren on top of it for the mosture level will be correct 95 degres F will be in the butter zone temp i tkink. And turn the egg 2 times a day wash your hands first. place the egg in side of the incubator and make a small X on the top with a pencil ONLY to see if you turned it or not. The pattern will be X O Xeach day O being no X
  4. sit on the egg as if you were the mother chicken.
  5. Hi, There is only one simple answer to your question and that No. To hatch eggs, firstly they need to come from chickens that have both males and females running around together. You egg you bought from the supermarket is very unlikely to be fertile. Secondly, the only other method to incubate eggs with out a broody hen is in a incubator that is set to a temperature of 37.5C, humidity is very important to and must remain constant at all times. I would give up on this idea and find another pet to keep, sorry.
  6. The eggs you buy from the shops aren't fertile as the hens don't have a cockerel to mate with them. They lay eggs every day but a chick will never develop. You can't hatch an egg without an incubator or a broody hen anyway. This is the real answer.
  7. a shop brought egg wont hatch as it wont be fertile, how ever i have hatched eggs without a incubator, i put a couple of fertile eggs in a box and put a desk lamp over it and gently turned the egggs 3-4 times a day. and had 2 hatch! i havent been able to do it again but it worked. you could try it? you need to get fertile eggs thou not ones from tescos. try hatching eggs in to ebay look distance nearist first try and find someone local to you.
